Minutes from the C.A.R.E. meeting                                                                                       08 September 2009                                                                                                                        Brian Wright(secretary)                                                                                                          In our meeting today we met with Leighann Long and went over several topics. Some the issues discussed were the preparations for kickoff day for recycling. Challenging our PCC campus here to recycle. Scheduled kickoff day for Tuesday, September 29, at 2:30pm.Went over getting t-shirts printed out for recycling day. Viewed flyer made for recycle day. Talked about saving cans for the next few weeks for kickoff day! Several of the C.A.R.E members have scheduled an appointment with Leighann Long to come up with a presentation that will be given to President of PCC (Dr. Bartlett) on September 14 at 8:30am.                                                                                                                 We also discussed Step into the Arts which will be held on Wednesday, September 16, from 9am-4pm. We will be setting up a booth to sell drinks, popcorn, candy bars, and possibly t-shirts. The proceeds will go toward our C.A.R.E program. We also need volunteers to help with this event. See me for time slots available!                             The last thing we discussed was putting together a book drive for better lives. It was voted on and approved for a future service project near the end of the semester.                                                                                           Thanks for letting me be of service.
