Models of Service Delivery:  Teenage Pregnancy

 

This class activity provides a review of the three models of service delivery discussed in Chapter 4. You may review the models by referring to Table 4.2 in Chapter 4.

 

 

You are going to work in groups of  to discuss the problem of teenage pregnancy.  Brainstorm the reasons that it occurs and the reasons it is a problem.  The class as a whole then discusses their conclusions.  List all possible services that are available to a female who suspects she is pregnant and subsequently finds she is indeed pregnant, then apply the models of service delivery to teenage pregnancy by categorizing these services as medical, public health, and/or human services.
