Go to the student union or somewhere else on campus. You and your partner(s) discreetly choose two people to observe talking and write down your observations about what you see (not what you hear).  Do not share this with your partners(s).  Watch for about five minutes and bring the paper back to class.

Reenact the interaction with your partner(s), adding verbal content as you imagine it.

Discuss this reenactment with your partner. How did this re-enactment change your perspective (if it did)?

Now, discuss the observations you made before you did the re-enactment. What similarities were there in the way you and your partners viewed the interaction?

What differences are there in your observations?
