This course introduces the psychology of the exceptional person. Topics include theoretical perspectives, terminology, and interventions pertaining to various handicapping conditions as well as the resulting psychosocial adjustments. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the potentials and limitations of the exceptional person. Prerequisites: PSY 150.
