Find at least three, preferably five people on campus and ask them if you can interview them for a few minutes for your diversity class.  Explain that you will share the information that you obtain in class but without identifying information, unless you have their written permission to do so.    Then obtain answers to the following questions:

1)      Tell me about your religious or spiritual background.

2)      How comfortable do you feel about your religious or spiritual background or traditions in terms of this campus? (In other words, do you feel accepted, etc. with your beliefs, do you feel free to share them, etc.)

3)      Can you share your ideas and knowledge about at least two religious or spiritual traditions that are different from your own?

4)      How would you feel about your brother/child/parent etc. marrying someone from a different religious or spiritual background?  And related to this question, are there religious and spiritual backgrounds that you find more objectionable?

5)      For the purposes of this project only, would you tell me your age and ethnic background?

Thank you so much for your willingness to share this information.  If I can share more than general information from your responses, please sign below.  If you are not comfortable with that, I will only share your general answers, without identifying information such as age or ethnic background.  Names will not be used under any circumstances.

Question for student to answer on your own:  What surprised you about this information coming from this particular person?
