Using the factors listed above the exercise on page 225, name areas in which there is a strong identification and those in which there is not. If great differences exist, do you think it is still possible to work successfully with the client? With counter-transference issues might be worth examining?

· From page 274: You were hired by a large human service organization whose funding was strong. Within several years, however, budget cuts began to loom over the agency. As the last one hired, you would be the first one to go. You really enjoyed you work and the contact with colleagues, but you became demoralized at the constant threat of layoffs. No one could give you any clear idea about the future of your job. You begin to look for other opportunities and finally left this position due to the uncertainty of your future. How would you feel if this were to happen to you? Would you leave? Or would you stay and weather the storm? What factors would influence your decision?
