THE COLLEGE
PCC is a multi-campus two-year college with a technical emphasis serving the counties of Person and Caswell, with a consolidated population of approximately 60,000 persons. The College is located 40 miles north of the booming Research Triangle Park and 50 miles northwest of the Piedmont Triad. PCC has an enrollment of approximately 2100 FTE, with an annual budget in excess of $19 million. It is one of 59 colleges in the North Carolina Community College System. The College has been extensively involved in service to local business and industry and in supporting local economic development initiatives. Over 8,500 people are served annually through the College's programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides WorkKeys Assessments in accordance with established guidelines, services to individuals at the Person County Joblink Career Center, computer-based instruction (KeyTrain) in Caswell County, career counseling to students based upon the ACT WorkKeys Occupational Profiles database and their WorkKeys scores, supports as a team member the NC Career Readiness Certificate and data to the WorkKeys Administrator to place in database of WorkKeys scores.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience and Knowledge
Requires Associate degree in human services, business technology or related field; excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel; valid driver’s license and a minimum of one year experience working with the disadvantaged population.

SALARY $24,000-$25,524 for a 12 month position with benefits

Part-Time (30 hours) Court Advocate position with Caswell Family Violence Prevention Program (CFVPP). Check out the VISTA position with Piedmont Community College:  An AmeriCorps VISTA position hosted by PCC has opened up. The position is called Microenterprise Development.  From an email sent by Laura Vedder: "This Microenterprise Development project will assist low-income individuals and displaced workers of Person and Caswell counties to improve their economic conditions and overall quality of life through self-employment. The program is an initiative of Business Development Center of Piedmont Community College. The member will work with existing resources and programs and develop new ones, in order to expand entrepreneurship within the counties.
