February 9, 2012:  Valentines Day Bake Sale and Craft Sale.  Thanks to Terri Beaver for organizing and working the tables, Donna Rutledge for setting up the tables.  More info to be added.

December 17, 2012:  Roxboro Christmas Parade - CARE float. Participants included Rosa Victoriano and family, Terri Beaver and family, Bobbi Music and family, Valerie Still and family.  Pictures to come! Rosa Victoriano spoke with Mrs. Oakley, the guidance counselor at Woodland Elementary, about having a writing contest at the school and the winners would win a seat on the CARE Club Float/Truck in the Roxboro Christmas Parade.  Students had to write a paragraph explaining why community helpers are important.  The principal, Mr. Brozy, was designated to pick the winners.  There was a winner from each grade level.  The winners were: third grade-Skyler, fourth grade-Charlotte,  and fifth grade-Irma.  This assignment encouraged good writing skills, while teaching students about community helpers.  It also helped to promote CARE Club.

November 29, 2011:  Terri Beaver and Kathy Oakley delivered the gifts for the adopted family.  This was a joint effort buy human services students and first and second year nursing students to make three foster children very happy! Thanks to everyone who contributed gifts, money and time.

November 17, 2011:  CARE Bake Sale:  Thanks to Stephanie Allen (glazed lemon pound cake [which sold out!]), Terri Beaver (coordinating sale and bring peanut butter oatmeal cookies, honey bun cake[sold out], ginger bread), Bobbi Music (snicker doodles and pumpkin spice muffins[both sold out]), Sheri Narin (sugar free brownies, mocha brownies, Lisa Neely (running table), Rose Victoriano (cinnamon pull apart cake, chocolate fudge cake).  Also thanks to SGA Treasurer Shelli Raymond, who helped set up the tables.

PCC 40th Anniversary Celebration:  Thanks to the many people that helped:  Cheryl Perry who was there all day, David Caton and his father, who helped set up before going to watch Alabama beat Duke,  Angie Ward who showed up to help after working third shift (and not having had any sleep), Lisa Neely, who helped almost all day, and her daughter Jamie - Jamie and her friends were particularly helpful running the toss the bean bag activity, Katherine Riley, who probably should have still been in bed, Megan McFarland, who ran the popcorn machine, Toni Clayton, who always shows up and helps, no matter what, Cheryl's husband, "Martin" who designed the target for the bean bag toss and also helped in other ways during the day. Sheri Narin and Kathy Oakley were there all day.  Kailey Oakley helped as well, and made the sign. February 7, 2009.  Fish fry.  Toni Clayton organized a fundraising fish fry, recruiting several family members (including her partner Mike, who started cooking at 7:00 a.m., her children Aliah, Dominique, Emile, and Vanessa and Mike's mother, Mary, her extended family and her own mother)!  She was also ably assisted by Katherine Riley (whose mother also stayed all day and kept Katherine under control) and Cheryl Perry.  Kathy Oakley and Leeann Oakley also assisted all day with further help from Misty Hodges and Vicky Hernandez.  Kailey Oakley helped a lot, as well as Click here for great pictures!  People who donated items include: Toni Clayton, Vicky Hernandez, Misty Hodges, Dana Lunsford, Mike,  Sheri Narin, Leeann Oakley, Kathy Oakley, Buffy Paradis, Cheryl Perry, Katherine Riley, Patti Whitt.  Thanks also to everyone who promoted the event, particularly Leighann Long, who can also be seen in pictures.
