After school care for Caswell County

 

Reasons for needs

Caswell County does not have Public Transportation, therefore a need to help transport children to the center.

Early Head Start of Caswell County lacks updated computers to teach students who will attend the center, there is also a need for desk for computers and supplies.

Through surveys, a need for after care is important for parents who have latch key children without proper care.

 

Goal and Objective

To enhance services to Caswell County children and Families (16 children) ages 2-12 years

Deliver services that meet the current and future needs of children and families of Caswell County (increase activities by at least 15

Develop fiscal, human, and other resources to be self-sustained (increase of at least 8 partners

 

Results of Change

Increase hours and increase in star rating

increases in learning, developmental, and language skills of enrolled children

Decrease in high school dropout due to affordable aftercare

Transportation needs are meet

Improved grades in school, increase in EOG scores

Decrease in crime rate among youth

Data collection to evaluate project success

Monthly fiscal reports

Observation of the program

Monthly service reports

Academics and attendance in local school system
