
- Internship placement must be able to provide 9 hours a
week work experience
- Your direct supervisor must have a minimum of a
Bachelor's degree.
- At least 4 ½ hours should involve direct client contact,
more if possible.
- The student should be doing human services work,
including one-on-one or group activities, phone services, program development,
resource development, direct assistance, and many other activities that fall
under the role of a human services workers.
- Paperwork, filing, answering phones, etc. may be a part
of any position, however, this should be a very limited part of the intern’s
responsibilities.
- Intern must be able to complete required class work,
including homework assignments, completing a verbatim, and completing a
psychosocial history on a client.

PCC supervisor
will need to visit and observe the intern at the site, interacting with
clients, at least twice during the semester.
