Registration For Distance Learning

Registration for distance learning is done during the regular registration periods as outlined in the semester class schedule brochure.  Payment may be made by VISA, MasterCard, check, or cash.

Students enrolling in distance learning must contact their assigned academic advisor to complete the registration process.  Degree and diploma seeking students or those enrolling in math or English course must first complete assessment tests in English, math, and reading prior to enrolling in class.  These tests are free of charge and may be scheduled at the Student Development, Admissions and Testing offices on either campus.  The tests are used for correct course placement.

Alternatively, take the approved trial schedule or drop/add form to the Student Development Office in Building E.  A staff member will complete the registration process.  You cannot be registered unless the courses are properly authorized.
  4. If you are registering for more than one distance learning class, you must follow this procedure for each distance learning class.

Course Addition Procedure

A student may add a class after the general registration process has been completed by using an add form which is available from the advisor or the admissions office.  Classes may be added through the third day of the semester.

Withdrawals

A student may withdraw from classes or the College by completing a drop form, which is available in the Student Development Office.  The signatures of the student’s faculty advisor(s) and instructor(s) are required to complete this form.  Failure to complete this form by the mid-point of the semester could result in the student receiving a grade of WF or F in all courses they have stopped attending.  By contacting the Coordinator of Student Records and the instructor(s), a student can appeal a WF or F grade resulting from being dropped from classes, if extenuating circumstances exist.
